Ethics Game Simulation Journal
In this simulation I have learned deontological aspects (rights/duty focus), utilitarianism aspect (goals/ends focus), virtue (character focus), justice (system focus) and the relationship with the simulation journal. The Baird Method: Decision Process is another method I used to help me complete the simulation. The fact it provides five organize steps and showed ways
in making ethical decisions was totally helpful.
Beginning with the rights/responsibility lens and result lens; my decisions are toward rationality and consumer equal information; the other decisions is toward sensibility to consumer needs. For both rights/responsibility and result lens my total score was 3,700 and was totally pleased with the outcome, considering my first time with the simulation and unaware of the proper steps to execute.
However, my score is considerably on the high side with regard to relationship and reputation lens. I received a total score of 5,300. My philosophy was taking care of allies and people from other countries before exporting any defective products. It is just fair and justified to maintained United States standards regardless of the different countries we do business. Another factor was the sensitivity of other countries in honoring their standards. The United States as the leader of nations must set a good example to everyone.
