A Change for the better

In looking at change within an organization it is not easy but it is an essential part that sometimes can allow the company and the employees to be successful. In a business organization the primary goal is to develop and implement change that will than lead to success and growth. An analysis of the circumstances in the Synergetic Solutions Incorporated (SSI) wanted to produce more product while still anticipating employee’s resistance to change however; management needs to understand internal and external drive forces organizational change. In order for management to deal with change they must also anticipate resistance from employees therefore; the leaders of the company must find strategies to lessen the resistance to change in order to improve the business. Awareness of internal and external forces can support “managers in determining when they should consider implementing an organization change” (McNamara, 2005). Synergetic Solutions Incorporated (SSI) is a six million dollar company on the verge of a massive change. The company understands that this massive change will encounter resistance, but the leader needs to encourage the change to reduce the resistance from the employees.

There are three stages to changing a company freeze, change, and refreezing. The freezing entitles the replacing of old actions with news ones from upper management. Upper management motivates change within the company by providing new information, training, and a new way of looking at things (McShane & Von Glinow, 2002). Refreezing is the last stage that gives the employees a chance to demonstrate the new behaviors or attitudes that they may have learned. However convincing the whole company to change can be very problematical and could mean the life of the company.
