Universal Health Services Inc. Financial Analysis

In this paper you’ll find an analysis of the Universal Health Services Inc., financial statement from the previous year’s 2010-1013 (NYSE). First you’ll see how this incorporation involves itself in the healthcare sector. Universal Health Services was founded in 1978. There are 47,000 employees. The organization consists of centers for behavioral health, surgical and acute care hospitals, and cancer and radiation centers. This organization prides itself in being a major provider of health care services.

UHS has the capacity to serve many divisions. Just to name a few, Universal Health Services is a provider of diagnostics, coronary care, internal medicine, obstetrics, and emergency room care facilities. There are various locations throughout North America, including the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The main headquarters is located in Pennsylvania at King of Prussia (uhsinc.com).

As newly appointed CFO, an internal analysis of the organization’s financial statement must be reviewed. An interpretation of the statement is provided so that the vested stakeholders understand any financial approach or strategy (s) that maybe recommended for future improvements. By moving forward, there must be effective implementation of strategies by all department managers. In doing will minimize the impact of current industry trends.
