Employee Portfolio: Riordan Manufacturing

Riordan Manufacturing is implementing self-assessments to help managers develop ways to manage their employees. Three employees were assigned to complete these assessments, and the objectives are to maintain job satisfaction, as well as evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each employee. This portfolio will show the results of the various assessments for each employee and how I can assist in managing them better. Excellent introduction Cynthia because you provided purpose and what to expect.

Starting with the assessments; some questions like how satisfied am I with my job, what’s (never use contractions when writing academically. Instead replace with "what is") my emotional intelligence score, and am I a deliberate decision maker are the questions asked from each employee in addition to a few more insightful questions relating to personality characteristics and the overall feelings of each employee. The employees who took these assessments are Cynthia Jones, Rachael Fedeler, and Steven Jones.

These three employees have several characteristics that will affect their performance in this organization. These assessments are to help managers to understand and utilize employees that can work together to be more productive. Reviewing the assessment with Cynthia, she is dedicated, willing to help others, seems to be happy and has control of her emotions. The weakness Cynthia has is to domineering, and wants to much control over a situation which could lead to performance problems. Cynthia is an overachiever, and could potentially have a negative impact on her personal life in addition to the organization.
