1. Introduction

1.1 Aim

The subject of this assignment is myself, Miss Chunyang Liu .The purpose behind this assignment is to use psychological and analytical perspectives in order to determine the subject’s personal strengths and weaknesses to determine his/her’s personal choice of career. Learning/Process Portfolios involve the focus on Plato’s directive, “know thyself” which can lead to a lifetime of continous investigation. Self-knowledge becomes an outcome of learning. Maddux, Ewing-Taylor & Johnson(2002), in their insightful research on Learning Portfolios in higher education, describes the primary motive of a learning portfolio is to improve the subject’s learning by providing a guideline to reflect over their learning process and to develop skills, aptitudes and habit which they lack through critical reflection.

Ideally (and by inference not always) this process represents a learning cycle or spiral where the learner 'touches all the bases', ie., a cycle of experiencing, reflecting, thinking, and acting. Immediate or concrete experiences lead to observations and reflections. These reflections are then assimilated (absorbed and translated) into abstract concepts with implications for action, which the person can actively test and experiment with, which in turn enable the creation of new experiences (Kolb 1981).
