So far, what has been achieved by this NGO – World Vision? As we know, World Vision is an organization that is willing to dedicate and give a helping hand for children, families and communities in order to overcome the poverty and injustice. Most of the time, children and women - the group of victims are the most vulnerable and helpless to the effects of malnutrition and diseases. They need food, safe shelter, clothes, healthcare and the most important – hopes in their life in many adverse situations. Besides the poor abused children and raped women, other survivors also suffer from serious pollution, destruction of their homes and loss of properties. The harshness is not only just about the loss of physical stuff but they also needed to face the most heartbreaking things – loss of their loved ones. At this harsher time, for them, life is no meaning. In order to reduce the survivors’ sadness, World Vision works around the whole world to bring hopes and reliefs to children and families whose lives are threatened.

In natural disaster situation, for example, Typhoon Haiyan- natural disaster happened in Philippines in year 2013. World Vision took care of typhoon-affected survivors’ shelter, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, water, sanitation and hygiene, health, nutrition and education. Besides provided medical equipment like blood pressure apparatus, prenatal bed, digital thermometer, nebulizer, weighing scale, height board and other medical supplies, World Vision supplied volunteers to build more than 2,000 health facilities and 25 health centers to take care of good health and well-being of children and families after Haiyan. Aside from providing relief goods, World Vision also set up Child Friendly Space (CFS) and Women and Young Children Friendly Space (WaYCS) to help children, pregnant women and lactating mothers during the typhoon.
