The past decade has been marked by the democratization of Internet. Today, over 2 Billion people are connected together and share information through it using computers, smartphones or other devices. With new technologies improving everyday our device’s hardware and software, the user’s experience becomes easier and instinctive, making Internet’s use for our most common tasks and hobbies impossible to circumvent. “User experience (UX) is the way a person feels about using a product, system or service. User experience highlights the experiential, affective, meaningful and valuable aspects of human-computer interaction and product ownership, but it also includes a person’s perceptions of the practical aspects such as utility, ease of use and efficiency of the system” Wikipedia/User_Experience. Consequently this daily use made by a billion individuals explains why Internet is today the tool the most used for the research, acquisition and promotion of music. Completely new ways of choosing, listening, and sharing music have appeared in this short period of time.
