Printing Toner Market - Global Industry Analysis, Market Size, Share, Trends, Analysis, Growth and Forecast, 2013 - 2019

Toner is a powder that has application in photocopiers and laser printers to make images and form printed text images on the paper. In the early days, a mix of carbon powder, sugar and iron oxide was used which slowly changed in order to improve the quality of printout. Quality printouts were made by a process in which carbon was melt mixed with polymer. The toner particles are made to melt by the heat of the fuser that is then bound to the paper. Earlier, the user poured this low cost carbon into the reservoir with the help of the bottle in the machine. Now days, the modern machines feed directly from the sealed laser toner cartridge. The modern laser toner cartridges are proposed for use in printers and copiers that come in cyan, magenta, yellow and black i.e. CMYK. The polymer used may be a polyester resin, styrene acrylate copolymer and styrene butadiene copolymer among others, depending upon the manufacturers. Toner formulations depend on machines and manufacturers. Generally, the melting point and granule size fluctuate the most. Some of the major factors driving the printing toner market are the growing demand for multiuse printers (All-in-one) and increasing demand for printers with tailored capabilities. The technological advancements have created a good scope for the printing toner industry to create color applications, color toner powders among others. These factors are anticipated to drive the printing toner industry in the coming years. However, owing to increase in the technological applications and paper saving solutions, online transactions has come into practice that may have a negative impact on the global printing toner market. In addition, exposure to toner powder is expected to harm human health. Inhalation of toner powder may lead to respiratory issues such as bronchitis and asthma. In recent research, it has been...
