Introduction

Global Communication has been highly effected by Wall Street announcement that they have no confidence in the telecommunication industry. They have stated that stockholders returns have diminished with the prediction of no possible rebounding. Because of the lack of returns the telecommunication companies are under a lot of economic pressure. Global Communication must implement a new marketing approach to compete in a market that has become very competitive. This analysis will present the problems that Global Communication has been confronted with before and after the implementation of a new marketing approach. This analysis will also identify the issues and the opportunity of Global Communication followed by a break down of the ethical dilemmas that Global Communication has faced. Concluding with Gap Analysis which explains the current state of the company and their desired direction for the future.

Issue and Opportunity Identification

Global Communication has been faced with several issues. Issue number one, the depreciation of their stock value. When stock values drop it will cause’s stockholder to become panicky. Stockholders are investors that purchase stock from the company in return they gain rights to vote on company’s policies. The second issue that Global Communication is faced with is the increase competition. The increase competition is the main reason behind Global Communication stock depreciation. The third issue that Global Communication is faced with is the fallout from the layoffs that has been planned. To cut-cost and to become more competitive GC wants to outsource some of their call centers to India and Ireland. This move will allow Global Communications to reduce the costs for handling calls by almost 40%. This will be a substantial savings for the company.
