QUESTION ONE a) The in-line system for coagulation ,flocculation and sedimentation has the following sized units; flash mixing chamber with a volume of 5.7 m3,a flocculator 4.6 m wide,21m long and 2.5 m liquid depth and a settling tank 23 m square,3.6 m liquid depth and 90 m of effluent weir. Calculate the major parameters used in design of these units based on a water flow of 11400m3/day. (8 marks) b) The population of a locality as obtained from census report is as follows
