Kudler Fine Foods Shopper Program

Service Request SR-kf-013 details a new program Kudler Fine Foods would like to develop as a frequent shopper program. This new program will track customer purchases and accumulate points for customer redemption at third-party partners. This frequent shopper program introduces many security, legal and ethical concerns for our consumers that Kudler Fine Foods will need to address.

This new program will collect transaction data from consumers in order to offer the consumer discounts through third party companies. When collecting information from consumers, they must know what information is being collected and how the data will be used. As the program will offer discounts through another company, consumers will need to know what information is being shared. Are the products they buy being shared or just the points accumulated for reward? When sharing information with a 3rd party, Kudler Fine Foods must ensure the information that is being shared is keep secured.

When deciding what 3rd party services to partner with, these topics should be kept in mind:

* 3rd party company must protect customer data

* Allow Kudler Fine Foods to audit their data associated with Kudler Fine Foods consumers

* Pass any consumer concerns about the loyalty program to Kudler Fine Foods

Failure to adhere to these standard policies can introduce legal issues for both Kudler Fine Foods and the 3rd party partner in the case of consumer data being used for other purposes.

Most legal concerns of the loyalty program should be outlined in a membership agreement, which every consumer participating in the program should receive.
