1. Introduction to Article The article present the results of the study about the motives and efficiency of Quality Management System (QS) implement in Lithuanian companies that have obtained ISO 9000 certificates. The author’s questionnaire in this study was to find out why Lithuanian companies seek the implementation and certification of QS in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9000 series of standards and what has changed after the QS implementation.

Theoretical Assumption(s) and Thesis / Hypothesis The questionnaires were divided into four sections; 1) questions regarding the motives of system implementation, 2) questions regarding the implement benefits, 3) questions regarding general information about the company and 4) regarding the quality
management system link to TQM. Using the hypothesis that the implementation of QS has an impact throughout internal and external operation of the companies from the earlier studies made by the European Commission (1997) in the European Union, Llyod’s RQA (1992) of the client database, and by Casadesus & Gimenez (2000) in Spain.
