INTRODUCTION

Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan. Baku is a business city famous for oil resources and also known as Black City due to availability of plenty of oil resources. Emerging opportunities in Baku attracted business over the globe. And hospitality industry was also one of the most important industry which starts to rise in Baku. Elite group of hotels have many international hotels in different countries and decided to open its new hotel in Baku. Increasing number of industries, new organizations and oil companies make it necessary for executives and politicians to visit frequently to Baku. Elite open a five star hotel in Baku with all amenities and offering great services.

THE MAJOR ISSUES AND HOW CRITICAL IT IS TO THE HOTEL FUTURE

After a great success in initial years, Baku was facing some critical problems not only due to competition but some internal factors and defective policies. Every company while going in the foreign country faces problems likes international transfer of their expatriate managers, management training, use of the international teams and work on performance evaluation as well as reward. Other factors are language, culture, political and economical system, legal framework, management style and conventions, treaties and contracts, and geographically disparate workforce. Hotelier (2009)

Elite has facing some major issues and they are really very critical for the future of the business. The main challenge for Expatriate Managers is to be effective leading local individuals from other culture.
