Action Plan for Optimal Health and Wellness Project

Optimal health and wellness is a hard feat to accomplish. It requires a balanced amount of effort in all six elements of health and wellness which include physical health, social health, intellectual health, environmental health, emotional health, and spiritual health. Now, while all six elements of health and wellness are important to achieving optimal health and wellness there are a few that are a bit more important.

The top three elements of health and wellness that should be increased in society are physical health, emotional health, and intellectual health. Society as a whole has become lazy. Technological advances have aided this to happen. This is a bad thing because people are not getting enough exercise. This hurts the element of physical health. Lack of exercise causes many illnesses that are affecting people every day. Increasing physical health awareness in society is very important. There are many people in society that suffer from depression and other illnesses that cause them to be hurt emotionally. Things like depression not only affect emotional health, but they also affect the other five elements of health and wellness. For example, when somebody is suffering from depression they usually lack motivation. This lack of motivation will cause them not to exercise thus affecting there element of physical health as well. Intellectual health is also an element of health and wellness that needs to be made aware of many people are not aware of how important this element is. Keeping you mind in shape will help you accomplish many more things then somebody whose mind is constantly clouded. An example of intellectual health that people often overlook is reading. Reading is an enjoyable activity. Besides being enjoyable it also helps to lower the levels of stress that a person experiences and that is a something that is important when it comes to reaching optimal health and wellness.
