Global Amateur Golf Championship Tour Comes to the Carolinas

The WGAT Carolinas Tour will join WGAT Team USA beginning with the 20142015 wrap around season. Myrtle BeachConwayNorth Myrtle Beach, SC The World Golfers Amateur Tour (WGAT) founded in 1996 hosts the largest amateur golf championship in the world. With tours operating in 44 countries, flighted amatuer golfers compete to play in their national championships and the opportunity to advance to the annual world championship event. The WGAT came to America just 2 years ago and is growing rapidly with 13 tours currently operating in 5 regions. The most recent addition to Team USA is the WGAT Carolinas Tour. Based in North Myrtle Beach, SC the WGAT Carolinas Tour will host multiple tournaments in North and South Carolina throughout the 2014 2015 wrap around season that begins in October, 2014. Prior to the beginning of the 2014 2015 season, the WGAT Carolinas Tour will host 3 National Qualifier events August 9th (at Cape Fear National in Leland, NC), August 16th (Grande Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC), and August 23rd (International World Tour in Myrtle Beach, SC). Players will compete for valuable slots in the upcoming WGAT National Championship at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey in the Hills, Florida September 2728, 2014. The WGAT Carolinas Tour will advance 1 player ($599 entry fee paid) to the National Championship for every 5 rounds played at Cape Fear National on August 9th. They will advance 1 out of every 10 rounds from Grande Dunes Resort on the 16th, and 1 out of every 20 rounds from International World Tour on the 23rd.
