Everything Happens For a Reason

I believe that everything happens for a reason, sometimes for better or for worse. Sometimes you’ll never understand why, but in the end it is either to make you strong, or to test your will; there is a lesson and a reason for everything we encounter on a daily basis.

I have believed in this saying ever since I was open to new experiences in my life, such as new friendships and relationships in general. The saying “Everything happens for a reason” helps me connect to the world in a better way. It gives me hope when it’s much needed in life. Since believing in this, I tend to be able to figure out what those reasons are, but most of the time, just like anyone else, I can’t figure it out. But in life not all bad experiences are mistakes, and they should not be regretted. I believe that in many situations that we perceive as negative, there is often a greater lesson to be learned. These lessons often give way to our ability to make better choices from lessons learned. It’s like, “when one door closes, another one opens up.”

Through out my 4 years of high school, I had my ups and downs. I realized in the end who my true friends were. I would always put great effort into friendships and would only get very little in return. That showed me that there were a select few that I could truly call my best friends. Between all of this, I had to juggle my academics, my happiness, and relationships. But in the end, I was glad I went through all of this, I still sometimes look back and have a difficult time understanding why I had to go through all that pain and what my would life be like if this person or that person was still in my life. I just think about how I wouldn’t be the girl I am today if I didn’t go through the things I went through. That all happened for a reason, and in this case it was a good reason.
