Accounting Information Systems Simulation Summary

From the beginning of the Ramos International simulation we can see the big advantage the company has by using one person that performs different activities throughout the company. This helps the company avoid any type of confusions or mistakes that cane take place due to misunderstandings that could happen between different employees. Another advantage of using an individual is the fact that if any problems take place throughout the process, the individual in charge of handling the process would be the best person to resolve any types of problems or issues in a much easier way than getting other people involved. Lastly, the process in place also reduces the costs of the company.

Besides the advantages, there are also disadvantages of using an individual to run the whole process. The first disadvantage would be the amount of pressure this individual would be under mainly due to all the responsibility and workload on this person. With a lot of workload, the employee would be more likely to make errors and mistakes. This would be as a result of the pressure where this one individual has the full responsibility of everything going on. Besides pressure and workload, another disadvantage would be the fact that no one would double check the work of this individual. This could lead to different mistakes and errors slipping through and causing problems. Lastly, having on individual in charge of a process could cause many delays. Since this individual would be working by himself or herself, it would take a longer time for them to complete a certain task or project. Also, if the individual becomes ill or injured and cannot work at the company, the company would have difficulties to run or it would fall behind mainly due to not having another person to take over the tasks right away.
