The Parable of the Lost Son “The Prodigal Son” is about coming back to where to you came from and openly accepting those who made a mistake.

In this generation, there are many people who commit mistakes and just run away from it. Example of this is those people who eloped or ran away from their homes. There are many teenagers who are eloping these days. Some may they think that running away is one solution in escaping from their parents or from the responsibilities and results of the actions they made. And just elope because of the thought that maybe this is the only way to be free. Though these are wrong, they just do this without thinking of what will be the outcome of what they have done. After they realize that what they have done was wrong, they go back to their parents arms.

This kind of problem in our generation can relate to the Parable of the Prodigal Son. In this story, the son was given the part of his father’s wealth. He used this to buy every luxury he can buy and spent everything that he had. Later on, his lost all his money and began to starve. But he realized that what he did was a mistake and went back to his father. His father accepted him open arms.

In a way, our parents may get angry with us but they will never stop loving. They just want us realize and learn from our mistakes, whether it is in the easy way or in the hard way. They will always forgive what we may have done wrong because that’s what parents do. They make us learn from our own mistakes and be able to stand strong.
