1. IMP Corporation’s concerns lies in the ethical conduct of its supplier, Luaec ABS Products Inc. (Luaec Corp). James Krumpberg, IMP Corp’s VP of Manufacturing, is noticing on a visit to the supplier that there are issues regarding how Luaec Corp’s employees are treated. Not only are they employing young individuals, but they also do not have the proper facilities available for their employee’s use. IMP Corp has the power to raise their concerns to the upper management of Luaec Corp. IMP Corp may raise concerns about their policies and actions and view them as ethical issues; however, Luaec Corp’s practices regarding the young employees are deemed satisfactory in their culture and country. Although these actions are appropriate where Luaec Corp operates, these issues do not match James Krumpberg’s “business principles” and Luaec Corp “must keep in tune with the wishes of the societies it serves or it runs the risk of alienating its shareholders, stakeholders and customers” (Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility). IMP Corp has the power, at any time, to change suppliers and find a competitor of Luaec Corp whose ethics and corporate social responsibility more align with their business and social beliefs.

2. The ethical concerns of how Luaec Corp is treating their employee’s raises a red flag for James Krumpberg of IMP Corp. These concerns stem from the lack of resources available to employees while on break, a proper working environment, and the long hours young employees work. The following ethical concerns back up the argument of the present issue. The first (points 2, 5, and 6) being that employees at Luaec Corp are overworked. Not only are the older employees at risk of harming themselves, but the younger employees are losing out on receiving an education and putting the best toward their studies.
