The Amazing Cowboys Stadium
Have you ever been to a place that was so amazing and exciting that you did not want to leave? Well that is exactly how I felt when visiting this amazing place that I fell in love with. I was like a child in a toy store; I did not know where to go or what to look at first. The greatest thing about it was I able to visit during the augural season. Before actually going to this magnificent place, I would often dream of just how beautiful it would be. I would always hear rumors of how large, beautiful, and brilliant it was, but I was patiently awaiting my big day to see my beautiful stadium for myself. Yes, that’s right I said stadium. Not just any old stadium, but the brand new Cowboys Stadium. It is located in the heart of Arlington, Texas and home to Americas Team, the Dallas Cowboys. The best team in the world might I add! Cowboys Stadium is the only stadium in the National Football League bearing its’ own name.
Before arriving to take my tour I was so excited because my big day was finally here. November 21st 2009 my brother and I arrived at Cowboys Stadium, it would be a day etched into my memory forever. Seeing this enormous octagon shaped dome with 180 foot wide by 120 foot long glass doors at each end of the stadium, I thought I watching the movie “Glass House”. It was hard finding a parking space, so we drove down the street a few blocks and finally arrived at a parking lot that was practically empty. We saw a blue, silver and white motor home with a couple of vehicles around it. My brother and I wondered why the parking lot was so empty, and being curious we drove to the motor home. As we got closer, we could hear the thunderous bass from music playing and see people talking and grilling food.
