Introduction

Party Plates is in transition of implementing wireless technology to benefit the company. The team collaborated and came up with two recommendations for the success of this fast growing company. We are proposing we integrate the use of the tablets and smart phones to maximize our customer needs and to expedite our orders. These two devices would enable our growing company to transition into a new age in the way we work, learn, and do business, hassle free. While doing so, this will save time, money, and gain revenue for the company.

Smart Phone

The smart phone application will be very helpful to our employees and clients. For our employees, orders, and inventory can be tracked wirelessly. Less time will be spent communicating back and forth between our drivers the main office. The less time that is spent updating the main office, the more production we will have by our employees. Orders can be taken while shipments are being made. For clients, most are in a hurry with daily life. Our website will have a mobile version so our clients can browse and make purchases on the go. This will help bring in clients who are high tech. Some things that will always be a challenge are using secure networks. Our IT department will have to be monitoring our network on a daily basis for bugs and unauthorized users.

Tablets

The justification for the tablets is that there are more companies, and individuals with tablets. The new technology allows personnel to travel with a more lightweight and portable device which has computer access at all times. Phone applications may not able to load because a phone may not have a smart documentation application that is compatible to the site.
