UNIT DESCRIPTION

Introduction

Welcome to this unit which I am sure you will find interesting and useful given that business and management is now firmly established as an international activity. As the unit coordinator and lecturer I have overall responsibility for the running of the unit.

I have a PhD from Bath University in the UK, an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada and initially graduated from UWA with a Science degree and a Diploma in Education. In addition I am a Certified Management Consultant, Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (Australia) and a Fellow of the Asian Forum on Business Education. My career has been extensive and has included fifteen years in the chemical and mining industries in Australia and Canada in the areas of production management, systems analysis and training and development.
