JOCELLE’S GARDEN AND TOURIST INN ABSTRACT

The Computer-Based Monitoring, Reservation and Inventory System for JOCELLE’S GARDEAND TOURIST INN is a system developed to manage data records and from a time to time reservation, monitoring and inventory information. It helps to reduce problems in data gathering for the ease of use.

Chapter 1 PROJECT BACKGROUND

On the year 2007, Mr. and Mrs. Dacodao decided to build up their business (hotel and restaurant) the idea of this business is get from their original business Sampaguita Tourist Inn.

The restaurant ad function hall starts to operate January of 2008, and after for almost 1 year of preparation and waiting, the hotel accommodation starts to operate February 2009.

Jocelle’s Garden and Tourist Inn was named after JocelleDacodao, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dacodao. It is located at Diego Liñan St. Brgy. VII, Daet, Camarines Norte and being manage by Mrs. Fancis B. Co.

As of now their business is still growing and continuously patronizing not only by the Daeteños, also by many tourists.

The significance of the study of this project proposal is to create a systematic way of monitoring, inventory and reservation in terms of computer-based system. This study will help the researchers themselves, user: Jocelle’s Garden and Tourist In. and their customer and guest.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Based on the site survey and interview conducted by the developers, the owner’s and hotel information desk officer’s complaints are in trouble of data organization in reservation monitoring and inventory for they have a manual process of information gathering through customers reservation, monitoring and inventory information’s are mixed up.
