Robert Goffee and Gareth Jones wrote an article, “Why Should Anyone Be Led by You?” that was published in the Harvard Business Review in the September-October 2000 that described four qualities that not all leaders were aware of. According to Goffee and Jones, effective leaders should incorporate these four qualities in order to lead effectively. “Leaders should selectively show their weaknesses, rely heavily on intuition to gauge the appropriate timing and course of their actions, manage employees with tough empathy and reveal their differences” (Goffee & Jones 2000).
