Women and Gender Studies

Gender inequality and power sharing has been a topic on debate for ages of times. There has been superiority in gender favoring the masculine. The feminine have been related and ranked in lower positions and lower life levels. They are related to having the primary responsibility for children. They are exposed to being victims of male-violence. This is brought about by the conditions they are in and the material practices prescribe different ways of acting as women and men and may result to consequences if these norms are broken or rather ignored.

Societies absorb different kinds of people and recognize different types of people. In addition, it ranks them according to their differences and places them officially into a set of practices thus making them part of the system. However, the masculine is placed above the feminine in most rankings and in most angles of life, even when there are differences associated with different Identities. This is evident as some have advantages of accessing resources while others are in difficulty of the unequal access to economic opportunities. These results to situations that are unappealing and extend to the lesser individual led grouped being not able to exercise their rights of citizenship. On the other hand, the other has a clearer access to right of life and total happiness. For instance, in the society, not every individual may be able to participate in the political process to ensure that laws are enforced and reflect the will of the people. This should translate that there is an existing government and its there to serve the people and to serve all equally. Most institutions encourage putting up system of equality based on gender and aspects of all women lives. Institutions function to support system of inequality and privilege in terms of patterning resources and practices.
