Atmospheric Structure

The general description of this website is a “window to the universe” for readers. It gives insight on the sun, earth, solar systems, space, sciences, and culture. Each one of the mentioned titles (once you click on them) gives you subheadings for you to choose from (i.e. Title-Earth/ Subheadings- weather, climate, atmosphere, etc.) It gives you a plethora of things to look at and read as well as research.

I believe this site is very credible in terms of information it gives to the reader/researcher. It is sponsored by National Earth Science Teachers Association, is sponsored in part through grants from NASA and NOAA, and partnerships with affiliated organizations, including the American Geophysical Union, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Earth System Information Partnership, the American Meteorological Society, the National Center for Science Education, and TERC.( Windows to the Universe ). The currency and accuracy of the information on this website is very recent as supposed to the other two websites. I see live feeds on the Windows to the Universe website from 11 September 2014. If you compare each of the other websites you will see that Windows to the Universe keeps the reader engaged on what the reader wants to learn about. The other two websites lacks the “WOW” factor. I see that the Earth’s Atmosphere website doesn’t even have an author or year it was cited. The Vertical Structure of the Atmosphere Website is based from a study by the Oklahoma Climatological Survey from the year 2005, respectfully.

The best thing I liked about the website aside from the amazing places and things you can explore on it. Is the detail it goes into when you want to learn about something in particular.
