The mind of the African

It is not uncommon these days for wars to be equated to Africa, the first impression that comes to the mind of an American teenager by the mention of Africa is the scene of wild place portrayed in Rambo or the fighting of people in the celebrated the blood diamond. In Columbia, the mention of Africa reminds a young college student about his adventure when he was attacked by a snake that he could not fight, the sound of Africa reminds an Asian about this continent that is full of chaos and confusion with the basic survival of the fittest theory decides the line of events. Similarly, the mere mention of Africa reminds this celebrated Australian about his worst nightmare when he was chased by lions. Well this Australian’s fears are mild as compared to our European fellow who takes Africans as the pirates he has been reading about in the news- doing everything possible to get money. Now the question is why do people take Africa that, is it a matter of the media or is it the way the few African spread around the world relate with other folks? Well no matter how people conceive the continent it is a matter of a fact that this is the leading continent when it comes to conflicts poverty and real hunger. Solving these problems have ended up as the outermost concern of numerous people who have wondered and are still thinking of how to make Africa a better place. No matter the line of though, the question falls back to one thing, how the African perceives the European, the American, and the Chinese who in his sense thinks he is helping out someone he is not obliged to help in anyway.
