Time Management strategies

It is human nature to evolve, change and look for better ways to lead our personal and professional lives. Over time bad habits or problems that occur on a regular basis can become major issues that can impede future progress and success. Our daily lives depend on good personal and professional habits so it is imperative that we put time and effort into finding a remedy for the day to day issues that plague each of us. When I consider shortcomings on a more personal basis it is easy to see mine as well as how it impacts my personal and professional life. While figuring out these weaknesses in the pass proved to be a difficult task it has become more obvious as I have gotten older. That being said, the one area of my day to day life that I would like to improve is time management.

Poor time management can be the downfall of any person if left uncorrected, but for me it is particularly damaging. Not only does poor time management affect me, but also children. Throughout the week we have many activities that I have to juggle along with school, chores and meals. These activities often interfere with my homework because I do not set aside specific blocks of time to devote to each task we may have. An example of where my poor time management can be a problem would be our Wednesdays. Wednesday is a very hectic day for us because we have multiple after school activities as well as our everyday schedule to maintain. On top of the normal gym, store and cleaning piano lessons for two of the girls as karate for my son. The minute I wake up on Wednesdays is the start of a very hectic day that does not end until late evening. I realize that many people have busy schedules to adhere to, but for me my poor planning often means my schoolwork suffers.
