Frist and foremost I’d like to thank god, for blessing me with understanding and knowledge, which enable me to conceptualize this internal assessment and present it appropriately. Also I would like to thank my teachers Mr. Maharaj and Ms. Pierre, whose willingness to work with me contributed tremendously to the completion of this internal assessment. Appraisals to my peers who also guided me when I was confused and offered suggestions. Sincere gratitude also goes to my family, who laid the foundation and was the back bone, as they had a supporting role to play in my development.

INTRODUCTION

This study intends reviews the energy policy on which Trinidad and Tobago’s petroleum company Limited, Petrotrin, on its economic performance, structural adjustment and developments. The purpose of the study is to examine the impact in which the state owned company Petrotrin has on the economy of Trinidad and Tobago. To outlines the policy, goals, instruments and factors of production which has made this company what it is to data.

METHODOLOGY

In the completion of this internal assessment, I use both primary and secondary data of collecting information. The primary data was collected through an questionnaires handed out to Kwasie Ochoa, who is an employee at the firm branch in Pointe-a-Pierre, whereas the secondary data was collected through various websites and books, which were all reliable.

The primary data which was collected was very helpful, as it was a guide while completing this assessment. The information was very insightful, as the questions were detailed to acquire a respond which proved to be appropriate.
