Living the Dream a Vision Statement

Its Friday morning the alarm clock is ringing telling me that it is time to rise and shine. There was a time in my life when I used to dread the sound of the alarm clock beckoning me to awaken from my dreamy slumber. Gone are those days of dreading the descent from my bed. I now reach for the alarm clock and gently turn it off and rise with a smile on my face and excitement in my heart. Now that I have completed my normal morning rituals, I head into the kitchen where I find my husband standing with the cup of coffee he has prepared for me.

It is hard for me to believe that it was two years ago, we bought this home, our dream home in the country. A home that offers everything we were looking for and more, he has his hunting land and I have land for my horses plus much more. While I am contemplating all of this, I walk with him to our kitchen table that sits in front of a large picture window. This was the selling point of the home for me, it overlooks the field where my horses are standing. I have four horses; two Palomino’s (Kitty & Mack), a Quarter Horse (JoJo), and a Gypsy Vanner (Anastasia). Owning these beautiful creatures and being able to work with them never gets old for me. I look forward to returning home every night to work with them.

My husband and I must now leave for our jobs, so we say our goodbyes with the promise of seeing each other later that afternoon. I get in my car and began my morning commute to work. The drive takes me an hour but I never grow tired of it and the scenery that I see never bores me. The reason is that I am heading to a job that I used to only dream was possible. I spent four years of my life working toward the job that I now have the privilege of driving to every day.

My drive has ended and I turn my car toward the parking spot...
