Many people say that music is a big part of their life, and then when the iPod was introduced, music became a part of people’s everyday life. The iPod was revolutionary; no more CDs to carry around and no more scrabbling for batteries in the morning before you were off with your day. IPods quickly became a must have. Now ten years later, iPods have video capabilities, touch screens, able to access the internet, and now even watch and record in HD . It’s hard now not to notice at least fifty people throughout your day with the signature white headphones in their ears and an iPod in their hand.

The iPod was quite popular when it first came out, but nothing to compare too how popular they are now. When the iPod first came out and you had one, you felt like a overnight celebrity showing off to your friends. The first generation iPod was only able to hold a couple hundred songs and was over priced due to its new technology and because of supply and demand. With capabilities now of being able to store your music, videos, pictures and documents, the iPod is more like your personal handheld computer. You can also do such things as take videos and even edit them right away on your iPod, read books, or you can even connect to the internet and access a gps if u get lost. It’s amazing to see how much Apple has stepped up the bar in mp3 industry.

Apple is always coming out with something new and better than last years model. One of the reasons why Apple is so popular is because they are always innovating previous products. Constantly coming out with iPods that people have never seen before in that market which makes people want to buy their products that much more. Apple is also one of the very few companies that advertizes their mp3 players, demonstrating how much confidence they have in the sales of the iPod.
