Synopsis
This case is about the firing of a high profile senior vice president of communication for one of the biggest corporations in the world Wal-Mart. Julie was accused for accepting gifts which was against the company’s code of ethics. She refuted the claims Wal-mart made against her and it became a large ethical issue. And when to say that the CEO Scott lee was accepting prefrential treatment when buying yachts and gifts for his wife.
Premises/facts-
Wal-mart hire Julie Roehm to be vice president of marketing communication
Walmart wanted to re do their image and their marketing
Julie one biggest thing on the job is to find a new ad agency
The ad agency that got the ad for walmart was worth 586millon
Julie picked Draft agency as the ad agency
Walmart then accused Julie of accepting gifts which is against company policy which she said she did but reimbursed the company for the gifts
Walmart values their ethics
Julie then sued walmart
Wal mart counterclaimed and said she broke their ethics
She then claimed that their was lots of unethical thingsgoing on in the executive offices and that none of them got fired.
Claimed that Ceo scott lee was also getting prefrential treatment from vendors that supplied Wal mart

Julie was fired because she broke company policy for violating code of ethics
She claimed that CEO scott lee also was breaking that ethical code. And it was true that he did buy a gift for his wife
Respect for others Wal mart should respect others because if you fire one for bad behavior you should fire all that break the gift policy. Like the ceo
