1. Introduction

Uttara Bank-one of the largest and oldest private-sector commercial bank in Bangladesh, with years of experience. Adaptation of modern technology both in terms of equipment and banking practice ensures efficient service to clients. 211 branches at home and 600 affiliates worldwide create efficient networking and reach capability. Uttara is a bank that serves both clients and country. Nations trade with each other basically for the same reasons that individual trades with each other. In today’s world of unlimited wants, no nations by itself can produce all the goods and services which its people require for their consumption. Nature has distributed the factors of production unequally over the surface of the earth. Bangladesh has also the environment to produce some products efficiently. Bangladesh is an over populated country. Employment opportunities can be created in a populous country like ours with the promotion of export. This employment will pave the way for increased savings and investment, ensure capital flow, solve unemployment problems and eliminate poverty. The earnings that are collected from all these exportable products are used to import necessary products that she cannot produce efficiently. Increased production and massive expansion of commerce is one of the main means of local resource generation. In order to promote export-import business, scopes should be there to pay prices both under LC and contractual agreements.
