CHARTER of TEAM 21

Objective

Team 21 will master course material related to assigned projects and will demonstrate that mastery through our reports and presentations.

Concept

● Members of Team 21 will follow the guidelines of the team charter to accomplish assigned group projects.

● Team 21 will complete assigned group projects by following the instructions given on the assignment and meeting the set deadlines, while adhering to Olin’s standards on ethics.

Intent

All group members are expected to contribute evenly to the success of the group.

End state

Members of Team 21 have received passing grades from all classes and are able to work together on future assignments.

GUIDELINES

Synergy/Limitations

● Well-defined roles will make our meetings more efficient:

○ Facilitator- guides group discussion making sure everyone is contributing constructively, makes sure tasks are delegated and completed in a timely manner

○ Recorder- records discussion outcomes and responsible for assignment submission

● If a team member is stronger in the topics assigned (aka subject matter expert), then that person will take the role of the facilitator for that assignment. (Social motives)

● If a team member is weak in the topics assigned, the group will insure that all individuals will have a functional understanding of the material at every step. (Social motives)

● During formal in-class presentations, the group will follow Olin’s dress code. Any variance from Olin’s standard must be addressed and agreed upon.

● Team members are encouraged to engage in positive reinforcement activities to ensure that each member is learning and participating throughout the process (i.e. high-fives, etc.) (goal orientation)

● Our group will conduct a review after each assignment in order to monitor and improve team performance. (i.e. Did we meet our goals? Were we efficient with our time?)
