CHAPTER I

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

A Student Information System (SIS) is a software application for educational establishments to manage student data. Student Information System provides capabilities for entering student test and other assessment scores, building student schedules, and managing many other student-related data needs in a school, college or university.

Our easy-to-use integrated College administration applications are proven to reduce time spent on administrative task so you concentrate on raising student achievement. Linao National High School does not limit their number of student per school year. Having this big population is very difficult to manage student’s information using their old manual system.

Student Information System have to accept process and generate report accurately and any point of time any user can get the student information. As main goals of the school “to generate and disseminate new knowledge and technologies that will promote sustainable resource development and enrich the competent and effective services geared towards efficiency and economy” the current system is inconsistent with the asserted school’s main goals.
