4.1 Background of the Company

4.1.1

In 1987, the KAREN’S Pharmacy was established. The owner, Benedicta Saquilayan visualized that the medicine is one of the basic commodity now a days, since the site is near the lying-in clinic and has no pharmacy. The owner decided to put up a pharmacy business located at Area-F Dasmarinas City.

Mrs. Benedicta Saquilayan invested 500,000 pesos on the business. After registering the business at the local municipal she started operating with the help of her relatives.

They Started the basic medicine people are basically needed, such as cough syrup, pain killers and antibiotic. Months after people in the community started to recognize the drugstore and most of them became their regular customers. They also added new medicine and became contact with more suppliers.
