When it comes to my personal ethics and moral perspectives, I tend to take them serious on my day to day activities. Whether I am at work or simply at the store, I tend to act as ethically as possible. Although, there are many factors that shape my personal ethics and moral perspectives the two main factors are family beliefs and work ethics. My family has always taught me to treat others how I would want to be treated. Furthermore, I was always taught to be a hard worker, honest and caring towards others. Even if a person was disrespectful towards me, I must not wish anything bad upon them nor treat them like they are treating me. I must always be the better person. My actions are what portray me. Therefore, I must act ethical in any setting I am at the time. My boss has always taught me to act professional even if I am at a grocery store or a restaurant.

This course has changed my perspective of business ethics in a positive way. It has shown me that in order to have a successful business, the business must have code of ethics that employees must follow. It is important to teach ethical values, and how to handle ethical dilemmas in order to keep customers and employees happy. I have also learned how deal with different ethical dilemmas and how to it can affect employees around you and the business with my ethical actions. With what I have learned, I have applied my personal ethics and moral perspectives to business ethics in many ways. One great example would be, one of my co-workers decided to act unethically by referring business to a competitor. I had to analyze this dilemma in many ways than one. I had to see how it was affecting us employees, how it was affecting the boss, and how it was affecting the business. Since I am the manager and I decided to take action first by confronting the employee with what I knew before I want to the boss.
