Hello everyone, My name is Jia, today our group is going to present Walt Disney company new theme park plan in Shanghai. Ok let me start the first part of our presentation.

First, I would like to introduce the walt Disney company background.

The Walt Disney Company, together with its subsidiaries, was a diversified international entertainment organization with operations in three major business segments.

It is a Entertainment Conglomerate consisting of Media, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products and Theme Parks & Resorts

From humble beginnings at the Disney brothers studio, founded in 1923 by Walter E. Disney and Roy O. Disney, the firm had developed into a global powerhouse in the leisure services industry.

The company produced and acquired line-action and animated motion pictures for distribution to the home video, ad television markets.

The company licensed the name walt Disney as well as the company’s characters, visual and literary propertities, songs and music to various consumer manufacturers retailers, show promoters, publishers throughout the world.

The company operated the ABC television network, which had affiliates providing coverage to US television households.

The division of walt Disney world resort throughout the United States and also in Asia and Europe.

With the success of the Tokyo Disney theme park in Japan, which had strengthen the case for another big theme park in Asia. Thus the firm’s management decided to take their park experience to China, an unprecedented move in its history.

The Chinese had a cultural disposition toward pampering children, it was generally believed that an exciting experience of high quality would attract visitors to a park.
