The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the decisions made while participating in the University of Phoenix Simulation (Ethics Game), involving G-BioSport and two separate dilemmas caused from the discovery of a contaminate found in already shipped products.

The Fair Warning

Upon receiving lab results from the Senior Clinical Researcher, I was charged with the task of analyzing the repercussion all stakeholders of the company would have to face because of a contamination of our products that had already been shipped. I began my analysis by focusing on identifying the issue. Yes, there were contaminates, but they were viewed to be at a safe level. I had to decide if the company should tell the consumer of the situation and how much should be told.

My second step was to decide what stakeholder were attached to the situation. Of course the customers had a stake, because they are the ones who consumed the product. The stockholders were attached because anything that might influence the value of the company stock was important to them. The CEO position had to be considered, because he is ultimately responsible for all activites of the company. Our pulic relations department had a stake in the situation also. They would be the ones to deliver the information to our customers and the public. As the Quality Control Manager, my performance during this situation will direct my future in the company.

My next step was to determine what my duties and the companies duties were to the stakeholders. Evonne Hedgepeth described the importance of this step in an article in School Administrator magazine, “Each individual is guided by moral views about how the world is and how it should be.
