Off shoring at EDC | Denise HeggeDi FernandoDave Walz |
Score: 89 out of 100 Combined Score: 88 out of 100
Strengths:
* Good use of multimedia. The video was a good and informative. The Slides looked very professional and appealing.
* Good attempts to start class discussion. Sorry the class was not more talkative for the first few questions
* Nice focus on the issues and questions
* The group did a very good job at responding to the teachers commits at the end of the presentation
Weakness:
* Reading from the note card makes it look like you didn’t know enough about the case.
* The first few questions to start class discussion could be answered in a few words and did not require the class to think or learn from the questions. Towards the end of the presentation the questions got a lot better.
Evaluation of EDC
Strengths
The group laid a good foundation in explaining the history of EDC to the audience. This is important so we could establish what kind of organization EDC is and what their goals are. I really loved the addition of the film footage, because it was like having the organization speak directly to me. When I watched the footage I could also tell the kind of person that would work for EDC. It has to be something they love to do, because they aren’t going to be paid well. The explained what SLK as an outsource company has to offer really well. The handled some of the questions well too.
Weakness
The group didn’t handle all the questions that were asked well. They seemed to flip flop on some of the answers. Should the EDC outsource- Yes or no I got both answers. They also brought up the economy when answering outsourcing, which had nothing to do with EDC situation. EDC had lack of funds in any economy—the real scare was is some companies going to react negatively to the outsourcing.
Overall I think they did a Good job--- Many more positives then negatives. Score was 87
