Prayer is the underlying principal that unconsciously guides our children to make proper choices in life. As the first amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”. Prayer has been a intricate part of the school process since this country was formed “Under God” over 230 years ago.

Large numbers of people agree that religion should be completely separated out of school. Keeping it separate allows students to focus primarily on Education instead of Religion. Once religion enters the arena certain minorities will get offended. Primarily since a majority of Americans practice some sort of Catholics. This creates a negative Stigma about those who don’t believe in God and therefore makes it difficult to learn. Saying all that who really cares? This country was built on God and therefore should have God included in its education of future Generations. Students do not have to accept God in order to graduate High School. If they wish too they can just not say the prayer or choose to ignore any religious affiliations. The first Amendment was created to make us a free country but making everyone walk on egg shells before they speak due to the effect there words may have someone was not its intentions. It is our School’s Freedom of Speech to allow religion into it if it wants too. Should someone not agree with the thoughts of the Publis School System they have the option of pricate school or home schooling.

Well the argument that still stands is that Students should not be forced to hear about Religion in which they do not believe in. Forcing it down our students’ ears is a form of brain washing. However, that is far from the truth. Using God in the morning for example the “Pledge of allegiance”, instills values in young people. It shows young people that anything in life is possible as long as you believe in it. Taking that away would only be a victory for those that are only making...
