Hardware Replacement
For any type of project for and information system, the project management team must deal with the five major variables, which are: scope, time, cost, quality, and risk. So how do that relate to this scenario?
Scope
Since the IT department is creating a new CRM solution, they must determine what work they will need to do to make this system work, and they will also need to know exactly what is already in place so they know what they don’t have to worry about. They need to make sure that what they need to do for the project does not go beyond what was originally intended.
Time
Since time is money, they need to set a time frame for the entire project to be finished. Then they must set time frames for each individual task involved in completing the project to be finished.
Costs
The project managers must come up with some type of budget for the project. They need to figure in the time that it will take to do the project, how much personnel that it will take to do it and costs of hardware and software...
