Airports lack control on epidemic cause lots of problems.

Since airplanes were invented, travelers from diverse states get into contact more easily. For centuries, even though there were plenty of tragedies of planes crashing, airplanes are still the most convenient transportation; however, bad controls of epidemic cause diseases fly around the world and death in various countries. According to Center of Disease Control, there were 494 cases of infectious diseases that came to Taiwan during January 1, 2014 to September 29, 2014; it is relatively a large amount. Therefore, I propose that airports should strengthen epidemic management between countries.

Many passengers got aboard carrying diseases but airports cannot find out because equipment is old and illnesses have which called the incubation period. The phrase represents a period after one got a disease and before anything happens to him. As a result, some of the afflictions can travel from one place to another without any body noticing it. For instance, in March 2009, H1N1 (Influenza A virus subtype H1N1) was found in Mexico and claimed thousands of lives. Since H1N1’s incubation period can be up to seven days, lots of people carried it to America and Asia. In May 20, 2009, Taiwan found the first H1N1 patient. Later, vice caption of CDC (Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare) stated that the patient was not Taiwanese; he came from overseas. This flu caused total 18,138 people died around the globe.

The first solution is to raise public awareness of own health problem before planning a trip abroad and makes passengers beware of infected areas. In order to make sure travelers’ health condition, health reports should be require when passengers book tickets, and airlines should make sure the health report is not expired.
