Introduction

Library is regarded as the brain of any institutions; many institutions understand the importance of the library to the growth of the institute and their esteem users (students).  E-Book and Library Management System is support the general requirement of the library like acquisition, cataloguing, circulation.

Library management system has been designed to automate, manage, and look after overall processing of the libraries. The system is capable of managing Book issue, Book return, magazine/newspaper subscription, calculating/managing fines, generation various.

Our System projects offer many flexible and convenient features, allowing librarians and library users to maximize time and efficiency. Library System gives the all detailed information about students, staff and books. It will track on the how many books available in library and books issued to the students. It shows popular book among the students. It will provide book lost in library. It keeps the record of the suppliers and book binders. It generates MIS reports for management.

Statement of the Problem

This study sought to answer the following:

1. What are the benefits derived from a computerized system?

2. What are the benefits derived from the data processing?

3. What are the benefits derived from the generating of reports?

4. Will the computerized of the present system be improved to through the implementation of the new system?

5. How is computerization system developed and implemented?

6. What are those problems encountered under the present library system?

7. Are there problems with regards in borrowing and returning books?

8. Does the present library system satisfied the work of the librarian or there is a need for improvement?
