Race in the Community

ETH 125

In this paper I will try to give an accurate account of the neighborhood for which I live. I will try to explain the different experiences I have had to face concerning racer, gender and the issues concerning diversity in my community.

I will discuss a few concerns including my families’ racial background and the communities’ racial background. Some of these concerns are pertinent to our society and issues we deal with daily. I will and give an account of the people in my community that’s an Iot like mind. First of all, I will tell you about by racial back ground. My family is composed of African, white, and Native American. I am African and Native American. My family is more of the African side. There is much criticisms about my sibling and myself, some of us has olive skin with straight hair and some have darker skin with curly hair. Therefore, we have been the victims of racial profiling and prejudice from our family members in the southern part of the United States. The fact is we all have more Native American facial appearance. We are well dressed, small build most of my siblings and our children has either a BS or MBA, another reason why there are so much controversy towards my family. We live in a community name Wakefield. It’s dominantly a white community. The people live their migrated from different parts of the country. On many occasion my children was asked what ethnic race are we.

I will now address how minorities are treated in my neck of the woods, by our leaders. I am talking about the people who make decision on my behalf or others. Such as, politician, policemen, and local organizations who swore to protect each citizen. Overall my neighborhood has progressed a great deal. Maybe one day we have racism and discrimination occurring in areas of public office and social organizations..
