Sodexo and Principle Financial Group Case Study

When you talk about diverse people in the work place some people find it as a problem while others find it great and a way to learn new languages. But there are two companies here Sodexo and Principal do love their diverse setup of people. What are some of the ways that Sodexo effectively manages diversity? The way that they do is they make every employee take diversity training. And also managers must interact in some of these diverse groups to understand what they are about and learn from them. I find this to be rich in so many ways; you find out about a diverse group and learn how to handle it. Like at my job we have a diverse make up of people and we all had to learn their culture and ways, it is a great experience to know their culture and what it is that they do. And you also learn their holidays and different foods and words; it is something that is very great to know. Why is it important for managers and all employees to interact with people who are different from them? Like it was just said to learn their culture, their way of learning, the way they interact though different tasks. To learn about different cultures on any job is a great plus. Sometimes you may learn about that Country and find out that what you have will make them do business with your company. It’s a small window but it does and can happen. What are some of the ways that Principal Financial Group effectively manages diversity? The thing about Principal Financial group is that they train everyone in diversity but they give everyone a chance at a position no matter who you are.
