BSA/376 Systems Analysis and Design

Professor: John Neels

To recap what we went over in the first phase was Altoon Group using the system analysis tools they know to gather a lot of ideas and information on what the company and their employees want coming from an all paper driven system to an electronic Ticket Scheduling system. They used different types of tools that were successful in determine the wants, needs and the direction the company wants to head in with this new system. They gathered a lot of data and ideas to move forward and present a course of action for the company and tell them what they can do for them. What all this did was prepare the Altoon Group for the next step in the phase and that is system design. And the first part of the system design process is the architecture design (Information Architecture) process.

Information architecture (Architecture design) is used to describe the structure of a system and the way information is grouped, the navigation methods and terminology used within the system (Johor, 2008). It is the formal definition of the business processes, rules, and system structure and product technologies for any business.
