The feeling of attachment is a critical component in sustaining a healthy life. A person connects to a certain individual or object because of their personal reason and they choose to be closely attached for the fulfillment. Some individuals become attached for a sense of security; whether it is emotionally or physically. An affectionate bond is between two people, it can result of two adults uniting or the relationship of a child to a parent. An individual becomes attached when strong feelings of love, care and affection occur. Relationships that strive on emotional connection are not only between two people, people tend to feel attachment through religious beliefs. The link of our soul is with a higher power and the passion people obtain towards their beliefs encourages strong attachment to God. This type of relationship branches into parents raising their children with the connection of God.

The moral standards and expectations of religious belief are the key sources of guidance. For the securely attached, parents’ religiosity provides for socialized correspondence, such that parent and God attachments correspond. On the other hand, for the insecurely attached, there is emotional compensation, such that parent and God attachments compensate rather than correspond. (Sim & Yow, 2010). When the attachments are not met emotionally within the relationship between the parent and child, the insecurities are satisfied with God's service of always being there.

Depending on the type of attachment one has with their spouse, family member or friend, their life will be heavily impacted by their increased development in the relationship. A unique form of connection occurs when an individual is a fetus in the womb. The natural bond between a child and their mother is distinctive; the baby grows listening to the sound of her voice.
