Club IT Part One

Being employed as the intern to execute a complete investigation of the IT requirements for Club It, my responsibilities are to study the conditions of the IT structure that is now in place to complete the mission of the club. “You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT" (Rainer & Turban, Welcome to Club IT). Club IT is a music spot that is downtown and is owned and operated by working musicians Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys who have dreamed of owning a club since graduating school with Business degrees in 2005. Following the extensive renovations of the 6,000 square foot club and designing a dance club with “high ceilings and high energy lighting to create an ambience of fun and energy” (University of Phoenix, 2009), Tejada and Keyes understand and realize the needs to have enhanced information technology management and how it will help Club IT to grow and develop with the always expanding information technology.

The mission statement for Club IT is “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle” (Rainer & Turban, Welcome to Club IT). Club IT’s clients may be comprised of local young professionals, adult students, sightseers as well as business travelers. The surrounding structures that are close to Club IT can lead to numerous people of varying ages, young and old single adults to young and old couples. Those who come to Club IT are trying to find a place to have fun and listen to music or maybe they just want to relax and have a few drinks while waiting for the place to become livelier as the night wares on.

Customer satisfaction, innovation and improvement are a few things that can be worked on to help the general appearance of Club IT. I think that there should be a customer comment box set up so that customers can let Rueben and Lisa know what they like and what they think needs to be worked on.
