Once you’re parked you walk in, check out the new paintings hanging on the wall and are interrupted by the rich scent of freshly brewed espresso. “Perfect,” you think to yourself, and you are not mistaken. Espresso Milano is your home-away-from-dorm and you can already feel the stress melting away. Espresso Milano, established on May 21st, 1993 is the totally unique indie coffee shop of Midland, Michigan. Espresso is located in the downtown area, one block north of The H Hotel and is indefinitely a crown jewel of the area. ‘Espresso,’ as most frequenters call it, serves a multitude of traditional espresso, coffee, loose-leaf teas, and an assortment of unique drinks that appeal to the taste buds of the college scene and reflects Midland’s spontaneous and creative personality. With all of these factors contributing, Espresso has earned an excellent reputation among the community—especially young adults. Espresso Milano is a spectacular joint for young adults to eat and hang out at because of its central location, wide and reasonably priced variety, flexible hours and relaxed character and atmosphere.

As mentioned, Espresso Milano is the best place your young adults because of is great location. Being located in downtown Midland away from the mess of the mall, Espresso seems more like a buried treasure than a steep franchise looking for your money. Though it is tucked in the corner of Ashman Avenue and Larkin Road, it is easy to find because it is essentially right off the middle of the downtown business strip.
